Our Pedagogy

We make learning fun

Our first innovation is our pedagogy.

We designed it to be student-led and it works.

Our pedagogy is battle tested and academically validated

Since 2018, we have worked with 5,237 students. All of them were introduced to the magic of making for the first time. They learned and applied STEAM concepts to create design and objects without even thinking about it. Our pedagogy made the abstract real for them. Most of these students are from K-12. They attended our classes at enrichment programs, summer camps, STEM events and even at birthday parties.

In 2019, we were awarded a fellowship by the Kravis Lab for Social Impact at Claremont McKenna College. Working with their team of educators and researchers, we conducted primary research which found that 86% of our student expressed enthusiasm for learning STEAM subjects after attend a makerspace class with Be A Maker Club.

Many more girls would love to make if they could. Sometimes you can make electronics and sometimes you can make charm bracelets.
